Third foggy day, reflection

Swan flies over the lifesaver
leaving only a ghost of a reflection
I would like to paint this as a serene all natural beauty
but the 8 am morning traffic
is demanding me to get back to the merry-go-round
right behind my back

Check out other Weekend Reflections

I do not understand which is up or down.
It is a splendid reflection.

Terrific shot as always, Pietari! I do know about fog! It is one of the main features of the area where I live in Seattle. Can be interesting, can be depressing. Just depends on your frame of mind at any given time.

Enjoy your weekend,

Sylvia

Reflections are so fascinating -to live in the real world or to reach into the mirror?

This is as if all colour had been drained out of the world and the sky and see were one.

You are so right, that is a ghostly reflection but a very lovely sight. And I enjoyed your eloquent words that go with it.

Arguably the best one I have seen until now for this weekend. Fantastic!

Outstanding picture. The reflection is really neat and I like the fog in the picture because it sets the mood.

Morning misty where the colors are subtle and the images enigmatic. I really like this one.

I love foggy mornings. Most people don't realize that they are very hard to take photos in the fog. colors muted and contrast lines are blurred. I time and place for everything. I love that you caught the heron.

As awful as that weather is, there is poetry in your photo.
