A month ago I needed new winter boots. I wear the same ones all winter and by the end of the season, which has been really long this year, they were all worn out and I had stitched them together and used tape here and there. When I went looking for new winter boots in the end of the february I couldn´t find any from the shoestores. How strange it is to live in a country far up north and not find suitable shoes to wear for the season when everything is covered with huge piles of snow. All they had was fancy shoes to wear for the stroll on the summer boulevard, or if I had abnormally small or large feet then I could have find a pair. I can´t get my mind in to the idea that I should buy stuff in advance. I only buy stuff exactly when I need it but shoe stores apparently think it´s a bad idea. They have been selling summer shoes for over a month now, when there is nothing but snow. I thought that buying shoes online would be a crazy idea but it seems it´s the right way for me now. Then I had to order them online from UK, yeah UK, and now I have been happy with them for 3 weeks. It´s just really odd to run around stores and see thousands of shoes in neat lines and none of them can´t be used right now. What are they thinking?

They are not thinking!
They have their own routine, nothing to do with weather. So silly! :)
I'm glad you found good shoes!
Happy Sunday!

I've wondered about the same thing, and remember having trouble to find my last pair of winter shoes last February.
Shopping is absurd.
A weird (but beautiful) sky to go with the weirdness of the fashion seasons.
I don't understand it myself. I want to buy my summer shoes in summer, but they are gone by then, because they are on sale now.
Primo clouds.
I've had the same problem in my family... And sometimes children grow out of their shoes during one winter!
oh, shut up. just giv em your money. they know whut u need and want. and don't forget 2 give em the money. :)

dramaattinen kuvasi tuo mieleen enkelin pakkolaskun. vähän menossa pitkäx tuo. kohta rytisee. :)
I also think they do not or only think to the coming season. You now just have to think about Christmas in July and on Christmas you have to think about sommerseason - always forward, ever faster. But the good point is, that you get on the Internet really for each request, the appropriate response.
I have found very special biscuits in Milan and I thought I could buy them here in Germany very simple. Here are very many Italian specialty shops - but no, it did not work. Nowhere else was this cookie. On the Internet I had this cookie can then order ... hahah ... a cookie from Milan, ordered in Florida, for him to eat in Germany. That was me then too crazy.
best regards for you dear friend and no more snow
it's a wonderful sky - a looking forward in a warmer future ...
its the global market ways, i think, i've noticed it for years. Remember when the costumer was always right?
That is the problem -- they don't think and it's ridiculous!! But in spite of the frustration, you got a gorgeous capture! The clouds look as though they're dancing, celebrating spring perhaps, but whatever they're gorgeous. Glad to see you back again this week, Pietro, and glad to see your incredible skies through your lens! Enjoy the rest of your day and have a great week!

What an odd concept... I mean, shouldn't they have what people need in the stores? Oh well, I guess it has something to do with supplies... but hey, you have shoes now :) And lovely shot, by the way. Just beautiful.
Funny post. I hope your new shoes are comfortable. This kind of reminds me of what it's like here in the summertime...just when you need a new swimsuit, you can't find one!
Gorgeous sky. You Finns really do seem to get the most unique cloud formations. Thanks for visiting.
That's shops for you. I'm always a little alarmed to see bikinis in store here before spring has even arrived. And now we've got knee high boots in stores when it's still essentially summer.
Nice colours as always.
you make me laugh :D :D
i dunt buy things in advance either and i dunt think i should.
